Hey! Appreciate the compliment on my writing skills. I'm really glad you left a comment & it means a lot someone other than me got something out of it because it was painful to write having to go back through all the bad memories! It's very true that you always have to pick yourself up, and it was how I fought most of my life up until this final episode when nothing seemed to work and all hope seemed lost. the first and second+ near-death experiences teaches you a few things, but after a whole string of them, you realize something else. What I believe is the lesson beyond "get up when you're down" is accepting whatever life gives you. Wherever you are and whatever you're given to deal with, you don't (and can't) fight life so it's just best to go with it. I know many sick who weren't as bad as me, but "suffered" more because they kept looking at other healthy people (their reality) and fought their OWN reality. Just take care of what life has given you day by day, even if its really hard to endure like what i went through, and life'll lead you to surprises, not necessarily good or bad or what you'd expect, but worth it.

I'm thankful for your blessings! and yes, my utah friend and her family are truly my angels in every sense of the word!

Well written and true to life, that right there was a helluva read Mr Lin. I want to thank you for sharing it. I have two boys and I always hit them with a simple mantra, life is all about how you get up when you've been knocked down. I will read your story to them tomorrow because it's truly inspirational. God bless your friend in Utah, nothing like an angel on your shoulder when you need one.

Godspeed, and best of luck to you.
